We are proud to present our new exhibition "Imaging History - Imagining Antiquitiy", made in close collaboration with our good friend and colleague Giovanni Fragala (IBAM). The exhibition takes place in Catania, Italy, in the Cucine del Monastero dei Benedettini from September 26th till October 5th.
Start of the of the project "(in)site, site-specific photography revised, applied to the archaeological site Sagalassos", a practice-based artistic research project on photography and archaeology.
Capture the past. That was the assignment photographers Bruno Vandermeulen and Danny Veys were given at the archaeological site of Sagalassos in Turkey. How does a photographer approach the past? When photographing the ancient city, Vandermeulen and Veys decided not just to record the archaeological finds, but to question the very objectivity of the lens itself.
